Spotify: I’m With the Banned

The Ask

Spotify's global HQ conceptualized a new music program - 'I'm With the Banned' - to empower artists and fans from different cultures to come together and to amplify the voices of people and communities that have been silenced. Their global team turned to Young Offenders to be the on-the-ground creative activation and logistics experts and bring their sensitive cultural concept to life. And when it came time to tell the world about the program via the feature documentary, Young Offenders was once again their first call as we set up film screenings and after party events in major cities across the US.

The Approach


In bringing together talents from different worlds, it was important to maintain exceptional communication, stable logistics support, and be mindful of cultural differences. Constantly shifting artist schedules required a nimble team to juggle visas, flights, ground transportation, and accommodations. In delivering the documentary to different US cities with distinct demographics and cultures, we were sure to customize our programming, promotional, and creative approach to connect authentically and deliver the core message to audiences in every market.
